Vackerby Trädgårdsstad

Challenge

ETTELVA has developed a proposal for a new neighbourhood in Gnesta containing housing, school, services and green meeting spaces.

Solution

The goal is that Vackerby Trädgårdsstad will become a contemporary interpretation of the traditional garden city and will be a natural continuation of Gnesta as it expands northwards.

Result

As a starting point for the project we have created a design program based on the values of the garden city. The design program states how buildings, squares, parks and streets in the new district should be shaped to create a sustainable contemporary garden city. We also provide support for the municipality in the establishment of detailed development plans and project management.
